Aero Acres is a premier residential airpark located in Port St. Lucie, Florida. The airpark is comprised of 68 lots ranging is size from 1.23 acres to 2.66 acres in size. Twenty-three of the lots have direct access to the runway. The remaining 45 lots all have access to the runway via grass taxiways. All roads within the community are paved and county maintained. The only access to the community is from Ideal Holding Road, a 1.8 mile road off of State route 70. It is located about 10 miles west of I-95.
There is a paved runway 3150 feet long. It is lit for 24 hour operations.
The three streets in the community were named after milestones in aviation--Tranquility Base Lane, Kitty Hawk Court, Mach One Drive. some of the lots have heavy vegetation while others are mostly grass. All lots are for residential use only. No commercial operations of any kind are allowed. Fuel may be stored (with board approval) for airplane or automobile use. All public utilities within the entire community (electric & phone) are underground. Water and sewer are by individual well and septic. High speed internet is via radio tower.
Aero Acres is governed by a property owners association, one vote per lot. A board of directors governs the association.
Conditions and restrictions affecting the building of structures on real property within the community are defined in the protective covenants of Aero Acres. Approval to build or modify any structure must be applied for and granted by the architectural review committee prior to construction. A few of the the general building restrictions are:
- Single family dwelling only with a minimum of 1700 sq. ft. of living space under air conditioning.
- Hangars can be no more than 3600 sq. ft. Structures are to be of permanent type construction.
- Only one house and one hangar per lot. However other additional structures may be permitted with board approval.
